"See the stone set in your eyes
See the thorn twist in your side
I wait for you
Sleight of hand and twist of fate
On a bed of nails she makes me wait
And I wait without you
With or without you
With or without you"

I just woke up from a nap.  Well, OK, not really; it was actually just me lying around for half an hour with my eyes closed, caught somewhere between sleep and a daydream while Bono sang in the background about being with or without you (by the way, Joshua Tree is - hands down - the best album EVER).  While I was drifting in my trance-like state (does it sound like I'm high on something?  lol, I assure you I most certainly am not), a horde of mosquitos jabbed me without me even realizing it.  First of all, I have no idea where they came from, and why they all masterplanned to nip me right when I was recharging my brain waves.  Second of all, I haven't been attacked by a herd of mosquitos with such ferocity since way back when I first moved here from the States.  It's true, I hardly get bitten by mosquitos anymore and most of the people I've mentioned this to say that it's because, after having lived in Thailand for so long: "เลือดไม่หว่านอีกเหมื่อนเมื่อก่อน".

Gee, OK, that took so long for me to pluck out and type.  Even with my head two inches away from the keyboard, it took me forever to find those keys.  I'm feeling a little cross-eyed now .

My exam today went grrreat.  I have one more left until I'm finally liberated (temporarily, for the next few months at least), but I don't feel like opening my books quite just yet.  The books and me have been getting far too chummy as of late, me thinks.

So, instead, I'm going to head out and get the new Jay Chou CD I reserved the other day.  It was all sold out when I popped into the store on Thursday, but the lady who works there just called me to say that it's finally arrived!  Yippee.
